Wendy Tompkins

Wendy Tompkins joined Patton Veterinary Hospital in January, 2016. A Red Lion native, Wendy wanted to work in our client relations department because she “loves all kinds of pets” and loves working with the public.
Wendy has owned many pets herself including two black labs, two cats, and a beagle/Jack Russel mix named Cooper who passed away at the age of nine. Since losing Cooper, Wendy has been “babysitting” her neighbor’s dachshund, Sofie but has not yet found that next special pet of her own.
A graduate of Red Lion Senior High School, Wendy was an active member of the Red Lion Band Parents Club, Vice President of Red Lion Choral Parents Club and is currently treasurer and secretary of her church. She is also a proud graduate of the former Maryland Medical Secretarial School now known as Hagerstown Junior College.
Wendy enjoys traveling and has managed to complete a few items on her bucket list with trips to Jamaica and Bermuda, but still dreams of taking another vacation to Disney World with her entire family. She also says, “If I had a free day to do anything, I would take my two granddaughters shopping!”
Wendy sums up her life philosophy with this: “I am a thirty-four year cancer survivor, so I guess my personal quote would be, ‘Keep the faith, and never give up!’”
Her calm demeanor, years of pet ownership and experience in working with the public make her a great asset to the client relations department, and we are so happy to have Wendy as part of our Patton Team!
