Kira Klinedinst

Kira Klinedinst joined the PVH team in May 2013 as a technician assistant. A native of Lancaster County, Kira graduated from Conestoga Valley High School and now attends YTI Career Institute where she is pursuing her certification as a veterinary technician. She has been a lover of animals all her life, and never remembers a time when she was without a pet.

“I always wanted to rescue anything and everything,” she says, recalling all the help she offered to various dogs, cats, lost ducklings, and birds that fell out of nests. “Mom would always yell at me, but my grandma says she did the same thing when she was growing up!”

Having a career in the animal care field has been a dream come true for Kira, who is so passionate about the work that she freely admits that she will be a veterinary nurse “for life”. She also admits that a future ambition is to be the head of her own veterinary practice, and feels that PVH is offering her the perfect training ground.

“The staff here is awesome,” she says. “If I have questions, no one has a problem answering them, even to this day. From the doctors to the nurses to the office staff, everyone is so engaging and involved with the work.”

As her level of experience builds, Kira finds each day more rewarding than the last: “When dogs come in that are super sick, I love being involved in the process of helping them. It’s great to see them stand up and wag their tail after being down for so long.”

In her free time, Kira enjoys music and reading, as well as running, tennis and basketball. Her favorite movie genre is action, she is a big fan of the Marvel Comics films, and anything starring Robert Downey, Jr.
