Celina

Celina, from York, PA, joined Patton Veterinary Hospital to gain valuable experience as she works toward her goal of becoming a veterinary technician specializing in marine rehabilitation. Passionate about helping animals, especially sea turtles, she currently volunteers at the National Aquarium, where she assists with the care of sea turtles and seals. Celina’s dedication to marine life drives her career aspirations, and she is excited to continue learning and growing in her role at PVH. At home, Celina lives with her boyfriend, Jakob, and their black Lab, Cyprus. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, hiking, skiing, and practicing yoga. If she had a free day, Celina would spend it on the slopes, skiing for most of the day, and then relaxing with cozy pajamas, a book, and a cup of hot chocolate once the sun goes down. Celina is an adventurous soul, and her bucket list includes skydiving, SCUBA diving in Iceland, visiting Scotland, hiking Half Dome, seeing the northern lights, walking El Camino in Spain, witnessing an arribada, and seeing a leatherback sea turtle nest. Celina graduated from Central York High School in 2015 and earned her BS in Marine Science from Kutztown University in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential at YTI. She originally came to PVH as an intern, and after applying for a technician position, she says, “Here we are!” Celina is eager to continue building her hands-on experience while completing her studies and working toward her dream of helping marine animals.
