Taylor

Taylor joined the Patton Veterinary team as coordinator of our Animal Care department in April 2019. Taylor hails from Dover, PA is a graduate of Dover Area High School and has completed her first year of college at Penn State York. She is also a member of Miss Agriculture USA and president of Future Farmers of America’s Dover Alumni chapter.

Taylor has aspirations to use her experiences at Patton to open her own family-run farm one day and was looking for a career that fuels her passion for animals. Taylor recounts several of her favorite pets including her sister’s calico cat, Sassy and current fur-baby, Molly, a lab who was rescued from the SPCA by a family friend, but did not get along with the other dog in the home and was then adopted by Taylor who says she, “brought [Molly] to her home so she could discover her love of cows and taking up the whole bed.” Taylor also had a Boer goat named Irish Kiss a.k.a “Mama” who she described as a “giant puppy with horns” acquired in 2016 at the York Fair and who is now part of a 4-H project for a young girl in Northern PA.

Taylor is very family-oriented and likes to spend her free time catching up with family members so she doesn’t fall behind in their lives. She got engaged on Thanksgiving 2018 and hopes to adopt 15 dogs (!) and start a family once married.

Taylor’s fun-loving personality is best summed up by her favorite quote, “Be like a pineapple. Be unique and wear a crown!” We are so happy that Taylor has joined our staff at Patton Veterinary Hospital and look forward to seeing how she uses her talents and experiences here.
